FAQ

Clinical Trials Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a clinical trial?

Clinical trials are studies or research that follow a pre-defined protocol or procedure. These studies are used to determine the safety and effectiveness of new drugs or treatments.  At Marycliff Allergy Specialists, we conduct clinical trials related to asthma, allergy, and immunology.

Why should I participate?

Clinical trials are a great way to learn more about your health and take an active role in your healthcare.  Being part of a clinical trial can also give you access to new treatments or medications that would not be available otherwise.  In some cases, participation in clinical trials can provide compensation for your time and consultation and medication at no cost to you.

What are the commitments of participating in clinical trials?

Every study is different and the commitments can vary widely.  Please refer to our Current Studies page for detailed information.

How can I find out more about specific clinical trials?
